B. 1988 Tbilisi, Georgia, Vato Urushadze lives and works in Georgia. He graduated from Danube University Krems in 2017, where he defended his MA thesis on the subject of Cultural Strategy 2025: Contemporary Art Heritage and The Politics of Collecting in Georgia. The scope of his interest lies in the intersection of artistic revision and disruption of cultural policy-making, as well as exploring emerging paths of mediatized minds, bodies and objects.
Vato is a co-founder and curator of independent art platform In-between Conditions and member of Tbilisi-based artist collective InChina.
